Annual Garden Field Trip to Mike & Cindy Lloyd's house (June 07, 2026)

It's that time of year again for a perennial member favorite: the annual visit to Mike and Cindy Lloyd's garden! Come visit to get a tour of their flowers, fruits, and vegetables, and get a sample of their home made wine.

Please park on the RIGHT side of the road as you approach the cul-de-sac, making sure that you do not block the neighbors' driveways.

If you have mobility issues and need to park closer, please come a little bit early and park in the driveway.

Remember to bring sunscreen and a lawn chair.

Join us for a fun, hands-on morning of beekeeping education, demonstrations, and community fellowship, along with lunch and honey-inspired desserts.

Learn practical skills you can use right away, from building and repairing wooden equipment on the go to choosing safe, reliable hive equipment.

See a live honey extraction demonstration, including harvesting, uncapping, spinning, bottling, labeling, and expert tips on what to do—and what to avoid.

Enjoy a creative make-and-take workshop featuring wax rendering and hive-inspired products like balms, soap, and more.

Pick up important seasonal hive management tips for summer feeding, pest prevention, mite treatment prep, and dealing with hive beetles and hornets. This is key information to start to prepare your bees for fall and set them up for winter survival.

Fun activities for the kids throughout the morning involving crafts, snacks, and more!

We will be offering exciting raffles and giveaways, with chances to win items like a nuc, swarm boxes, honey bottles, and queen marking tools.

The event is free for everyone.

Lunch is free for 2026 paid members, including those who have family multi-person memberships. If you are a paid member with a family membership, please indicate the number of paid family members attending with you as guests during registration.

Non-member lunch tickets are $15 each and are available during registration. Lunch for children 10 and under is free.

We encourage all members to bring their favorite honey-inspired dessert to share.

Register today: we will be closing registration on June 6 so we can get accurate food counts ready.
